The only food blog you will ever need (that will also save you a lot of money)

As a person who is born in the early 90's blogs was a big part of my life growing up. I have read blogs about fashion, politics and traveling during my years online and the blogs have always reflected the interests that I had during that particular time of my life.
For the last past years, as my vegetarian cooking interest has grown, I have been looking online for inspiration my growing food interest that also will fit my tight student budget.

That was why i was so happy when I found this Swedish blog that makes good quality food that is both healthy for your body and for the planet. And on top of that the owner, Hanna Olvenmark aims to make all of the food that she cooks and puts up on her blog at the small amount of one euro per portion.

Hanna Olvenmark is a legitimized nutritionist and writes on her blog that she "became so incredibly tired of the boring myth that all good food is expensive" and that she a lot of the time sees cooking for a small amount of money as a fun sport!

I find her whole concept inspiring to me as a person who is aiming to be more organized both environmentally and and economically. She really shows her readers that you are able to combine interest and pleasure with great benefit both collective and individually and to make it a lifestyle.

She combines her blog with week to week recipes with her instagram page with the same name "Portionen under tian" as her blog. The colourful pictures of vegetarian food and educational yet personal short videos really catches the eyes of the environment friendly, economically restrained, millenial which most of her readers consists of.

Hanna has made a great success going from a small scale hobby-instagram to a great movement which inspires people with lectures, cooking e-books to make great food to a low cost.

Check out the blog and get inspired here!

  1. I related so much to this post!! I also grew up reading lots of blogs that covered the matters I was interested in and now that it is so easy to just watch Youtube videos of the things I like the only blogs I read are about vegetarian lifestyle and sustainable living. Ps: hope I could understand the language Hanna speaks, because I was really interested in her blog from what I read here.

  2. Thank you for this inspirational blog. I myself am a vegetarian, so I am always on the hunt for new recipes. Sadly I don't speak Swedish but I do find her blog very aesthetically pleasing and you can see that she puts a lot of effort in what she does.
And with the additional value of having affordable recipes it definitely is a good blog to keep in mind.
