Analytics

Google Analytics could be used to understand performance, costumers and there costumer experience. It can help us to develop and understand what ads work and not, identify errors and develop our products.

I am currently in charge of a streetwear company's Google Analytics and I am gathering information their costumers to create costumer profiles and costumer personas.

Lets take a look at their analytics and see what information I can collect to start of with the absolute basics to create customer personas, and what the information could be used for.

Age could be important and impact many things in your marketing strategy, age could decide on how you use your language when communicating with your costumers, what channels you use to get in touch with them and what kind of design you use on your content to drag attention to your website.

If you are using targeting marketing you ill get the chance to modify your content to fit the targeted age-group.

Gender is not important for all companies to have in mind when creating costumer personas. For the company that I am working towards, the  street wear accessories  they sell is gender neutral, but when looking at their analytics I see that the majority of people visiting their webpage is female. It could be of importance to look over why these gender neutral products is not as popular for the males as for the females.

Where do your costumers live? This could be of importance for many different reasons, one of them is for the more classical marketing like posters and the one used in or outside of the physical shop that is placed in. But also in terms of what language you use and trends or polarized questions that you need to take in consideration when you try to catch the attention of your consumers.

Based on the information you can develop your costumer personas with what their interests are, what they do for a living, how their family constellation look like. You can be as specific as your products need you to be in order to reach your costumers with the best marketing possible.

As a person who is born in the early 90's blogs was a big part of my life growing up. I have read blogs about fashion, politics and traveling during my years online and the blogs have always reflected the interests that I had during that particular time of my life.  For the last past years, as my vegetarian cooking interest has grown, I have been looking online for inspiration my growing food interest that also will fit my tight student budget.  That was why i was so happy when I found this Swedish blog that makes good quality food that is both healthy for your body and for the planet. And on top of that the owner, Hanna Olvenmark aims to make all of the food that she cooks and puts up on her blog at the small amount of one euro per portion.  Hanna Olvenmark is a legitimized nutritionist and writes on her blog that she "became so incredibly tired of the boring myth that all good food is expensive" and that she a lot of the time sees cooking for a small amou...
